Explore the common questions
Why do I hear a sound? Do I need Silent Mode?

watchOS haptic patterns can include sound when Silent Mode is off. Press the side button to open Control Center, then turn on Silent Mode with the bell button. Keep Haptic Alerts on in Watch Settings → Sounds & Haptics, and wear the Watch snugly against your wrist. Lento Pulse explains this on first launch and in Settings, but cannot enable or detect Silent Mode itself.

Can I choose a different vibration pattern?

Yes. Tap the Settings gear beside Start, choose a pattern, and use Try pattern to feel it once. The nine choices are Click, Direction up, Direction down, Notification, Success, Failure, Retry, Start, and Stop. Your selection is saved automatically for your next session. Click is the default and works well at faster tempos; longer patterns may not finish between beats. Navigation and underwater patterns require special watchOS sessions and are not available in Lento Pulse. Enable Silent Mode before previewing for quiet playback.

Can I change the BPM during a session?

Yes. Turn the Digital Crown while the session is running to adjust the tempo between 45 and 100 BPM. The current beat interval finishes before the new pace takes effect, without restarting the session or resetting the timer. Your updated BPM is saved for next time. You can also adjust the tempo with VoiceOver.

Do I need to keep my iPhone nearby?

Lento Pulse runs on your Apple Watch, so you do not need to keep your iPhone nearby during a session. The app requires watchOS 26 or later and does not need an account or an internet connection to play its haptic rhythm. Initial Apple Watch setup or App Store installation may involve your paired iPhone.

Is my health data private?

Yes. The app processes the optional latest saved heart-rate reading on your Watch only. It does not persistently store that reading, upload it, or share it. Your chosen BPM, vibration pattern, and whether you have seen the quiet-playback introduction are saved in local preferences. The app has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, or networking, and it never starts or saves a workout.
